Call for Abstracts

Applicants are invited to present their scientific results at the event, by submitting an abstract with their application. For application to meeting bursaries, abstract submission is mandatory.

A large number of the accepted abstracts will be selected for flash presentations and short talks. All other accepted abstracts will be presented as posters in dedicated poster sessions. Flash presentations will be 5 min long (including discussion) and short talks will be 20 min long (including discussion). Posters will be displayed on poster boards in a dedicated area at the venue. Information concerning poster dimensions will be given at a later stage.

Prizes will be given to the best posters and best short talks.

To allow young researchers from across the sciences to showcase their research, abstracts from research fields other than oncobiology and/or metabolism may be considered for poster presentation, at the discretion of the organizers. Please note that, in these cases, participants must duly explain, in their motivation letters, the reasons for submitting. Note also that these abstracts will not be considered for meeting bursaries, prizes, flash presentations or short talks.

Deadlines for abstract submission:

  • For those applying to meeting bursaries : Extended deadline: 27 May 2019
  • For those wishing to be considered for Short Talks (ST) & Flash Presentations (FP): 20 May 2019
  • To ensure that the abstract is included in the Book of Abstracts: 1 July 2019

The online version of the Book of Abstracts will be available two weeks prior the event.

Abstract submission guide

Abstracts must be written in English.

Each applicant can submit only one abstract to the event.

Participants will be selected mostly on a first come, first served basis. As the number of available places is limited to 100, it is highly recommended to apply as soon as possible. For those wishing to submit an abstract, this can be done at a later stage, but within the relevant deadline (see above).

If you are planning to submit an abstract, answer yes to the question asking about interest in submitting an abstract that can be found in the Other information section of the REGISTRANT INFORMATION page.
